Wow. So the home studio is moving along nicely and happy with the audio I’m recording now. Added some new (actually OLD) gear in the form of my 1970s Marshall Artiste 50W Combo. Parents very kindly shipped it over. Revamp in Hollywood serviced it to perfection. Sounds great, even if Jim Marshall hated it!

Also picked up a Hotone Ampero for practice BUT.. the tones actually sound great. Chuffed with the sounds I’m getting from it, excellent little unit.

Oh, and that left monitor volume issue was actually due to a bad cable! Replaced both TRS cables with new XLR to TRS. No issues now.

Making solid progress getting my recording setup active in the new house.

Now in a fully detached building and hoping I can play a wee bit louder to get more of the speaker’s character into the recording.. we shall see!

I’m getting a weird volume dip in the left channel, wondering if it’s due to the left speaker now being in a corner. Time for a bass trap?
